Mission Statement

At ReadRiseThrive, our mission is to empower all readers to build strong literacy skills and develop a lifelong love of learning. While specializing in supporting students with dyslexia and dysgraphia, we also provide personalized, evidence-based instruction to help all learners overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. By partnering with parents, we equip them with the tools and confidence to guide their children’s reading journey, fostering a collaborative and nurturing environment where every child can rise above obstacles and thrive.

My Teaching Philosophy

At ReadRiseThrive, I believe that building a strong, trusting relationship is the cornerstone of effective learning. Students thrive when they know their teacher genuinely cares about them, both as learners and as individuals. This connection fosters confidence, encourages curiosity, and creates a safe space for growth.

Every student is unique, which is why I tailor each lesson to their specific needs, strengths, and interests. By weaving their passions and hobbies into our sessions, I make learning relevant, engaging, and fun. My goal is to empower students to rise above their challenges, discover their potential, and embrace the joy of reading and writing.

“I recently had the opportunity to work with Read-Rise-Thrive for my daughter, and it was a wonderful experience. From the very first session, I was impressed by how engaging and patient Lenore was. She took the time to get to know my daughter’s learning style and interests, which really helped to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment.

Lenore excelled at breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable terms that my daughter could easily understand. Her enthusiasm for teaching made each session fun and interactive, keeping my daughter motivated and excited to learn.

I also appreciated the flexibility of scheduling sessions, which made it easy to fit tutoring into our busy routine. Lenore provides a variety of resources, including games and activities, that made learning feel less like a chore and more like an adventure.

Overall, I would highly recommend Read-Rise-Thrive Lenore, for anyone seeking help for their elementary-aged child. Her caring approach and ability to connect with my daughter made a positive impact on her confidence and academic progress. We look forward to continuing our sessions!”

“Working with Lenore Ruebush at ReadRiseThrive has been one of the best decisions we've made for our child. My son was struggling with reading and I was at a loss for how to help him. We’ve seen incredible progress in a relatively short amount of time. Not only is he reading and writing more confidently, but his self-esteem has grown as well. Lenore doesn’t just teach literacy skills—she builds confidence and empowers her students.

About Lenore

Hi, I’m Lenore Ruebush, the founder of ReadRiseThrive, and I’m passionate about empowering children to become confident, capable readers and writers.

With over 20 years of experience as an educator, I bring a wealth of knowledge, training, and real-world expertise to the families I work with.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a reading endorsement, a Master’s degree in Education with a reading endorsement, and I’m Orton-Gillingham trained. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree as a Dyslexia Therapist to further enhance my ability to support students with dyslexia and dysgraphia.

As a mom of three—my 13-year-old daughter and twin 10-year-old boys—I understand the busy pace of life. Between school, sports practices, and managing our lively household (complete with two dogs, a cat, and a horse), I know how precious time is. That’s why I strive to make my tutoring sessions efficient, effective, and tailored to your family’s unique needs.

When you work with me, you’re not just getting a tutor; you’re getting a partner who understands the challenges of parenting and the importance of creating a supportive, nurturing environment for your child to thrive. Together, we’ll unlock your child’s potential and build a foundation for lifelong learning.
